Nebrija writes glowing testimonial of Parlade: 'Di mo siya mapapaikot'

Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. is among the more controversial personalities of this administration, but Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic czar Edison “Bong” Nebrija believes in the man’s abilities, 100 percent.
Nebrija, in a recent Facebook post, went as far as to describe Parlade as the best guy for the job over at the National Task Force to End Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
“I met Sir Tony in Albay and we had coffee in a small hut while discussing the efforts of the government in ending local insurgency. If you just hear him speak and see his determination to accomplish his mission, you will just be amazed how passionate and resolved this general is,” the MMDA official narrated.
In his post, the EDSA traffic disciplinarian underscores how seasoned Parlade is–an asset that the latter can use to identify the pretenders in government as far as the decades-long fight against the Reds is concerned.
“He did not start learning about insurgency yesterday he was on it since day one of his military career kaya di mo sya mapapaikot (you cannot trick him) and he knows who supports the communists and yes even those from the government,” Nebrija said.
“He is best person for the job and the President has his trust and confidence in him. You know why others do not want him for the job? Because they can’t handle the truth!” he added of “Sir Tony”.
Parlade is one of eight spokespersons of the NTF-ELCAC. He also serves as Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Southern Luzon Command chief.
