NTF-ELCAC Statement on Joma Sison's Pronouncement on "peace talks" with the Philippine Government

At a time when the CPP-NPA-NDF is on the verge of total collapse and is on its way to extinction, its founder Joma Sison, [who happens to be living a life of luxury and comfort on foreign soil] has the temerity to address the Philippine government that his soon to be annihilated CPP-NPA-NDF is "not closing doors" to peace talks with the government.

His choice of words is one that screams of a "trying hard" effort to appear strong when in fact, Joma Sison is very much aware that the CPP-NPA-NDF's days are numbered on all fronts.

He must be thinking of Sun Tzu who said that "when you are weak, appear to be strong...".

Unfortunately for Joma Sison, he is not the only person on this planet who understands Sun Tzu.

We reiterate our position that this government will no longer be deceived by the CPP-NPA-NDF into engaging them in a futile and insincere "peace talks".

If the CPP-NPA-NDF wants to talk peace, we only have one condition,

Unconditional Surrender.

Lay down your arms. Renounce the CPP-NPA-NDF.

This applies to all--- cadres, red area and white area members, mass base supporters, government sector infiltrators, financiers, the whole lot.

Joma Sison included.

Then and only then do we talk peace.

This country will not put up anymore with the charade and the moro moro serye entitled "peace talks".

The notion of peace is inconsistent with the very nature of a terrorist organization such as the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Joma Sison must know that the localized peace engagements under the whole-of-nation approach by the NTF-ELCAC has been successful in bringing former CPP-NPA-NDF members and mass base supporters back into the fold of the law.

These returnees have been the recipients of multiple basic services and livelihood packages from the government.

They are now living in peace and are productive members of their communities.

We do not need Joma Sison and his gang of self-anointed and self-entitled pseudo revolutionaries in order to have a just and lasting peace in our country.

On the contrary, the only thing left to be done now is to haul Joma Sison and all his accomplices to the bar of justice so that they can pay for the crimes that they have commissioned against the Filipino people.

Joma Sison's CPP-NPA-NDF is the obstacle to peace.

Talking "peace" with a designated terrorist organization is tantamount to inviting the devil inside your home.

Never again shall the Filipino people be deceived by the CPP-NPA-NDF "peace talks" ploy.
