PH administers 12th million Covid-19 vaccine

QUEZON CITY – The Philippines have reached the 12th million mark of vaccine administered said Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque, Jr. in a press briefing.

“Ayon sa DOH [Department of Health), ito po’y mabuting balita! Narating na natin ang 12 million mark of dosage administered. (According to DOH, this is good news! We already reached the 12 million mark of dosage administered),” he said.

He urged once again the public to get vaccinated and observe health protocols amidst the threat of the fast –spreading Lambda variant first detected in Peru.

Roque assured that the Philippine health experts continue to monitor the variant.

He added that the government is implementing stricter border control. No community transmission of the Delta variant has been detected so far, and returning OFWs and overseas Filipinos are also required to undergo quarantine protocols to prevent the virus from spreading to the communities.
