The NTF-ELCAC commends the Prosecutors of Region 13 for their Efforts in Ending the Local Communist Armed Conflict

In an order dated June 16, 2022, Branch 7 of the Regional Trial Court in Bayugan City, Agusan Del Sur granted the Motion for Reconsideration filed by the prosecution team under the guidance and supervision of Region 13 Regional Prosecutor John Magdaraog in Criminal Case No. 6527 for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention against several members of the CPP-NPA-NDF including one Dr. Maria Natividad Castro. A warrant of arrest was again issued against accused Dr. Castro.

With this most recent development, the NTF-ELCAC commends the prosecutors of Region 13 for their competence, zeal, patriotism, and commitment to winning the peace by putting an end to the local communist armed.

We reiterate our faith in the judicial system and processes and our adherence to the rule of law. Dr. Naty Castro, as well as her co-accused, will have their day in court and shall be afforded all the rights and privileges of an accused as enshrined in our Constitution and laws.

On one hand, we call on those who support Dr. Naty Castro to respect the rule of law and let due process take its course.

Some of these supporters have vented their emotions against NTF-ELCAC Spokesperson Dr. Lorraine Marie Badoy in an attempt to prevent her from unmasking and exposing the truth about the accused Dr. Castro.

While we understand that you are exercising your right to express your sentiments, please know that Dr. Lorraine Badoy has a more important task of speaking the truth.

And this task transcends beyond her fears, her emotions, her personal interests, and her personal comfort.

She has been given that most difficult job of speaking the truth in the face of multiple adversities.

She is doing this job so that the Filipino people may live to see a Philippines that is truly free and peaceful, and that is the Philippines that we, at the NTF-ELCAC, aspire to leave as a legacy to the Filipino nation and to the generations of Filipinos that shall come after us...

a Philippines that is free from the CPP-NPA-NDF terrorist organization and their allied front organizations.

Know this..

as long as there is a single patriot willing to stand for the truth, the NTF-ELCAC will never be silent. We will never be dumb, deaf, and blind to the truth. We will speak the truth and will continue to unmask the CPP-NPA-NDF and let them stand naked before the Filipino people with all their crimes and atrocities laid bare for all to see and condemn.

We have come so far in this struggle to win the peace for the Filipino people, we will never stop until the last CPP-NPA-NDF cadre, member, supporter, sympathizer, financier have surrendered, or have been brought to the bars of justice, or have been de-radicalized.

Again, to our prosecutors at Region 13, we are with you in your quest for justice and peace.
