NCIP provides farm inputs, tools to former rebels

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) - Isabela has provided farm inputs and tools to Former Rebels (FRs) under the care and custody of the 95th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army based in San Mariano town.


NCIP Isabela 2nd Community Service Center chief Divine Acoba and 95IB Executive Officer Major Oscar Blanza led the distribution of farm inputs and tools to the members of the Salaknib Former Rebels Integrated Farmers Association (SARIFA).


The members of the association received corn seeds, fertilizers, and farm tools that they can use in tilling land.


Alberto Eustaquio, SAFIRA president, expressed his thanks to the NCIP and other agencies for the support extended to them saying the government is really sincere in its promise to help them become better and productive citizens in their communities.


He also thanked the soldiers of 95IB for continuously assisting them while they are inside the military camp and making them productive through involvement in free skills and livelihood training.


Eustaquio urged the remaining Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members to surrender and avail the many benefits the governement is offering once they return to the fold of the law. (MDCT/MGE/PIA Isabela)
